No end in sight in Egypt. For the seventh straight day, the streets in Cairo were packed with Egyptian anti-government protesters. In a sign that could be seen as a concession of sorts, the riot police who clashed with protesters earlier were, for the most part, nowhere to be found. It’s estimated that about 50-thousand people were in the streets demanding that President Hosni Mubarak step down.

UK Prime Minister David Cameron and US President Barack Obama have joined together to call for an “orderly transition” to a more democratic form of government. Cameron says that he’s not suggesting that Mubarak step down. But he added that the country must go down a path of reform, and not repression.

Pop star doing time for sex tape. One of South East Asia’s best-known pop stars, who goes by the stage name Ariel, has been sentenced to three and a half years in jail since sex tapes he made hit the internet last June. Ariel is the first person to be charged under new strict Indonesian laws, which found him guilty of quote – “giving an opportunity for others to spread, produce and prepare pornographic material.”
