US President Barack Obama has called for a 4 trillion dollar deficit cut over the next 12 years. His budget plan proposes that 2 trillion of that come from cuts in national spending, 1 trillion from raising taxes on the wealthy as well as eliminating the Bush era tax cuts and another trillion recovered via lowered interest payments on the national debt.
