US federal prosecutors have charged the founders of popular online poker sites Poker Stars, Absolute Poker, and Full Tilt Poker with operating illegal gambling businesses! The feds have also filed a civil lawsuit against the sites worth three billion dollars for money laundering. Eleven people have been charged in all. Internet gambling has been illegal in the US since 2006.
