Singapore Airlines latest to swap Airbus engines. Singapore Airlines has announced that they’re changing some engines in their fleet of Airbus A-3-80s. That’s the same model plane that had an engine explode during a Qantas flight last week. They’re swapping out engines in 3 of the planes, under advisement from Rolls-Royce, who manufactured the engines. Meanwhile, German airline Lufthansa has replaced an A380 engine as well.
