
Shares of two of the world’s largest aircraft producers rose on Wednesday following a record-breaking order by American Airlines. AMR’s chief executive announced a 460-plane purchase, valued at approximately 40 billion dollars. It’ll be split between Boeing and Airbus. Boeing will deliver 200 of its 737 models while Airbus will handle the rest of the 260 units with its more economical A-320 neo-jetliners.
