
I may not know art but I know what I like, and it isn’t this. A photograph taken by German artist Andreas Gursky recently sold at Christie’s auction house for $4.3 Million dollars. The colour print is just a simple, static rendering of the Rhine but it’s become the most expensive photograph in history. Rhein II beat out a print by Cindy Sherman that sold at auction for $3.9 million in 1981.
