Syrian troops have hunkered down along the Turkish border as scared citizens continue to flee northern towns seeking refuge in Turkey. According to reports Syrian troops are as close as 500 metres to the border, a proximity that doesn’t sit well with Ankara. Meanwhile the vicious crackdown on anti-government protests continues, with tanks and snipers seen near northern refugee camp areas.
