The Gulf of Mexico oil spill has put a permanent greasy smudge on BP’s record, but it’s become a blessing in disguise for American oil firm Apache Corp. BP has announced that it’s reached a deal to sell 7-billion dollars in assets to Apache to cover the growing costs of the Gulf clean up.
