
The Sydney and Melbourne airports are facing up to 48 hours of disruptions as the ash cloud from Chile’s Puyehue-Cordon Caulle volcano drifts through Australian airspace for the second time. Tens of thousands of passengers were stranded last week and it could be worse this time since the plume is hovering too low for airlines to fly under it.
