President Barack Obama is seeking 500-million in extra funding and is set to deploy 12-hundred additional troops to secure the US-Mexico border. Obama said the US would comply with Mexican President Felipe Calderon’s request that the new efforts be used to pursue criminals, and NOT to enhance the implementation of immigration laws.
