The allied mission over Libya has seen its first setback after a US F-15E fighter jet crash-landed in a field near Benghazi. Fortunately the plane’s pilot and weapons officer managed to eject and are now safely in the hands of US authorities. It’s currently believed the plane went down due to mechanical failure and not hostile fire.
