
Chilean miners could see daylight much sooner than expected. It was an exciting weekend for the 33 Chilean miners who have been holed up in a shelter since a mine collapse more than a month ago. A 12-inch drill bit reached the cavern where the men are trapped some 2-thousand feet underground, suggesting that they could be rescued as soon as early November.
