Charlie Sheen has found a new TV home on FX! The cable channel has picked up Anger Management, a show based on the 2003 movie starring Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler. Sheen will play Nicholson’s character. FX has ordered ten episodes of the new program, with an agreement for another NINETY if the first ten do well in the ratings.

America must love Two and a Half Men for it’s brilliant writing and impeccable comic timing because even though Charlie Sheen is long gone, the show premiered to its highest ratings EVER! Monday night’s debut, which opens with Charlie Harper’s funeral and eventually introduced Ashton Kutcher as the new lead, was watched by 28.7 million people in the US.

America’s favourite train wreck Charlie Sheen has inked a deal with Lionsgate Television to star in a new sitcom where he’ll play a character similar to his Two and a Half Men role – but a lot racier. Charlie won’t be making $2 million an episode again but his back-end deal is potentially worth more than what he made at CBS.
