A California Republican official is apologizing for an email she forwarded to other party members depicting President Barack Obama as the baby of chimpanzee parents. It also had the caption, “Now you know why no birth certificate”. Orange Country GOP official Marilyn Davenport issued a statement saying she thought the email was just a joke, and apologized to anyone who may have found it offensive.
