US Major League baseball player Wilson Ramos has been rescued by Venezuelan security forces after being kidnapped last week. Authorities raided a hideout in the Montalban mountains and managed to pull Ramos to safety after exchanging heavy gunfire with his captors. Six Venezuelans, who planned to demand a hefty ransom, have been arrested in connection with the abduction. At least four Colombian accomplices remain at large.
