Australia’s armed forces have lifted all restrictions on the roles that women can carry out in the military. Until now, female soldiers have only been eligible for 93 percent of combat roles, excluding special forces and front-line combat units. The lift of the ban will now allow women to be considered for all positions as long as they are physically and psychologically qualified.
