President Obama has announced a long-term deficit reduction plan which targets wealthier Americans. Under this plan, the US would see an extra $1.5 trillion in long-term tax revenue from Americans who earn more than a million dollars a year. His plan also forecasts $1 trillion in savings by pulling troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and $250 billion in cuts to Medicare.
