One of the longest government shutdowns in recent memory has finally been resolved in Minnesota. The shutdown began July first, when the Democratic Governor Mark Dayton and the Republican-led Legislature came to an impasse on the state’s budget. Both sides made concessions to end the stalemate, which has kept 22,000 state employees out of work.
