Over the past three years, British scientists have created more than 150 human-animal hybrid embryos. Known as “cybrids”, the biological anomalies were engineered in laboratories to help search for cures for a wide range of diseases. Other scientists have strongly warned of the dangers of human-animal creations, but the hybrids are completely protected under British law.
