It’s long been believed that economic downturns lead to a rise in crime but that’s certainly not the case in the US. According to new FBI statistics violent crime in the states is the lowest it’s been since the 1960’s! Over the previous year, the incidence of violent crime fell 5 and a half percent following a similar 5-point-3 percent drop in the previous year.
