PETA is ruffling feathers once again with its latest ad. It features a photo of a great white shark swimming through the ocean with a severed human leg hanging out of its mouth. The accompanying slogan reads “Payback is Hell.” PETA says they hope it will make people rethink fishing by implying that if you inflict pain on sealife, you deserve pain in return.

New Law Aims to Stop Over Fishing

For the first time on record, US waters will NOT be over-fished! In 2007, a new law mandated that over-fishing had to stop by the end of the 2010 fishing year, which they are on target to hit. However, some say that strict new regulations – particularly in New England – have cost many fishermen their livelihoods.
