Freddie Mercury to be played in Queen movie by Sasha Baron Cohen. The late Freddie Mercury will be played on the big screen by none other than Sasha Baron Cohen! Mercury’s former Queen bandmate Brian May says the Borat star has been on board with the Queen biopic for a couple of years already. It might be a few MORE before we see it though. The script is still being worked on, and filming isn’t scheduled to begin ’til next year.
