France is being pulled into the global financial crisis. The International Monetary Fund has warned France that they need to try harder to pay off their debts. Weak economic growth means they need more spending cuts in order to hit their budget targets. If they don’t, they could lose their top-grade credit rating. That would wreak havoc on financial markets and significantly de-value the Euro.
