Police dressed in riot gear moved in on the Occupy Wall Street protesters at their campsite in Zuccotti Park. Hundreds were evicted and at least 70 people were placed under arrest. Police cleared the space on behalf of the park’s owner, Brookfield Office Properties, due to violations of health and fire safety regulations.
