Prince William becomes certified search and rescue helicopter pilot for British Royal Air Force. After seven months of intense training, Prince William is now a fully-certified search and rescue helicopter pilot for the British Royal Air Force! The 28-year old Prince needed 70 flight hours and an additional 50 hours in a simulator to get his wings. He’ll be flying out of a base located on the north west coast of Wales, co-piloting missions on the Irish Sea.
