NFL cracks down on helmet hits. The NFL is taking a much tougher stance on helmet-to-helmet hits. They’ll now start SUSPENDING players rather than just fining them. James Harrison, Brandon Merriweather, and Dunta Robinson drew fire over the weekend for extra-violent tackles, and the league’s just announced that they’ll face FINES between 50 and 75 thousand dollars. The suspensions will start THIS COMING weekend.
