
No end in sight in Egypt. For the seventh straight day, the streets in Cairo were packed with Egyptian anti-government protesters. In a sign that could be seen as a concession of sorts, the riot police who clashed with protesters earlier were, for the most part, nowhere to be found. It’s estimated that about 50-thousand people were in the streets demanding that President Hosni Mubarak step down.
