The National Hurricane Center in Miami is reporting that Hurricane Rina has now reached category 2 status. The storm is lashing the western Caribbean with winds upwards of a hundred miles per hour! Rina is forecast to continue strengthening and reach major hurricane status in the next day or so. She’s on path to make landfall in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula Thursday morning.
