Move over Apple, Samsung is now the world’s biggest shipper of smartphones. Between July and September, Samsung shipped 27.8 million devices, dwarfing the 17.1 million units sent out by Apple. Of course, with customers now clamoring for the new iPhone 4S, it’s likely that Samsung’s reign at the top will be short lived.
