Alleged Boston crime boss James “Whitey” Bulger has finally been arrested after 16 years on the run. Bulger is believed to have headed The Winter Hill Gang, an Irish-American mob in the Boston area that ran loan-sharking, gambling and drug rackets. He was arrested without incident in Santa Monica, California in connection with 21 outstanding murder and racketeering charges.
