US Customs and Border Protection has just announced that they seized over 9 million dollars worth of opium at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport last month. 205 pounds of the illicit drug had been stuffed inside 30 porcelain cat figurines in a shipment from Thailand. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
