In an open letter, a prominent group of female filmmakers has blasted organizers over the fact that no female directors were selected to compete.

New reports claim John Travolta has agreed to fight one of his sexual misconduct civil complaints in private. Sources say the ‘Pulp Fiction’ actor and a male massage therapist will argue their cases in a private hearing, with the agreement that all transcripts be kept sealed. The unidentified man claims the actor made sexual advances while receiving professional massage services back in late January.

“The Avengers” managed to “assemble” a record opening weekend! In North America, the superhero team-up flick took in an estimated 200 MILLION dollars. That far surpasses the previous record holder, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2″, which could only muster up a paltry 169 million.
